Jackson is a hard-working, vibrant city with the charm and warmth of a quaint town. From the historic downtown to the beautiful acres of open parkland that stretch across the city limits, Jackson earns its recognition as one of Michigan’s “Cool Cities,” giving these opportunities to its visitors and offering even more to its residents. Jackson is also great place for businesses to call home. It offers a number of incentives to help businesses succeed and a workforce of highly skilled and productive individuals to assure that success is met.

Jackson Resources:

Jackson Chamber of Commerce – Since 1909, the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, now representing over 750 businesses, has served as the leading voice for the business community. The Chamber regularly supports legislation and regulations that reduce the cost of doing business in Michigan and oppose legislation that is over-burdensome and places Michigan-based businesses at a competitive disadvantage with businesses in other states. A natural component to the Chamber’s successful public policy advocacy program is an aggressive, well-funded, highly organized political action committee.

Rotary Club of Jackson – The Rotary Club of Jackson was founded in 1916 as the 201st club of Rotary International.  As the city’s longest serving service club, the Rotary Club of Jackson is where Jackson’s community leaders meet together to share ideas of how to make Jackson and the world a better place.

Jackson Public School – The Jackson Pubic School district serves about 30,000 students in its 60 schools located throughout the city of Jackson. Students are enrolled in pre-K through grade 12 with many special programs available to meet their diverse needs, including Open Doors, Academic and Performing Arts Complex, and International Baccalaureate programs, to name a few. The resources below are provided for students and their parents.
