Toledo is a city in and the county seat of Lucas County, Ohio, United States. Toledo is in northwest Ohio, at the western end of Lake Erie bordering the state of Michigan. The city was founded by United States citizens in 1833 on the west bank of the Maumee River, and originally incorporated as part of Monroe County, Michigan Territory. Toledo Resources:

Toledo Police Museum – The Toledo Police Museum was fashioned from its inception with children in mind. It is their goal to pass on to the youth the rich history of the Toledo Police Department through exhibits that provide hands-on fun and encourage historical thinking skills. The inside of the Museum is octagon shaped and on the walls, beginning to the left and following the natural flow of the building, is a timeline that highlights the events that shaped the department and the city. This offers students a clear sense of time from which they can begin to understand the relationships among events and draw conclusions from them.

Toledo Fire & Rescue Department – The Toledo Fire & Rescue Department responds to all fire and medical incidents in the city of Toledo. The medical response also includes both basic and advanced transport to local hospitals. All Toledo firefighters are State of Ohio certified as Firefighter II and trained as Emergency Medical Technician-Basic with 190 also being certified as Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic.

Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce – The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce is a local, independent organization made up of over 1,800 businesses that employ more than 125,000 people. The chamber’s member businesses range in size from small, one-person, operations to large corporations employing thousands. The membership is supported by the Chamber’s certified and professional staff, which carries out the organization’s initiatives.
